Study Tour at the COP21: SISSAF and the Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water to learn about cutting-edge practices targeting reduction of GHG emissions at the Climate Change talks in Paris, France

SISSAF is supporting the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Water at the Climate Change Conference, “COP21” Paris, France from December 06 – 12, 2015. The main objectives of the visit is to keep the representatives of the Ministry up-to-date with the discussions on a new global agreement on climate change and how these developments will influence the further preparation of the Lebanese Action Plan.

The knowledge acquired during the Study Tour will extend the support provided under the SISSAF project to the Lebanese Government and the Ministry of Energy and Water in the implementation of Lebanon’s commitment to reduce GHG emissions and the implementation of the NEEAP (National Energy Efficiency Action plan) and NREAP (National Renewable Energy Action Plan).

The study tour is also a unique opportunity for Lebanese government officials and energy practitioners in the sector to exchange experience and be aware of cutting-edge solutions and financial instruments enabling investments in clean technology in view of adapting successfully the Lebanese infrastructure and curb climate change issues.
