As part of the Save Energy Lebanon Awareness Campaign, the EU funded project SISSAF, in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water and Concours Fabriano de Dessin and with the support of the Delegation of European Union in Lebanon, delivered a series of special and interactive seminars on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy in public schools covering various Lebanese regions.

These seminars aimed at increasing Energy awareness that can lead to changes in the way energy is used, reducing overall consumption.

A very informative and interactive presentation was given to students by the SISSAF Renewable Energy Expert Petra Georges Saab and the SISSAF Communication Expert Rima Ataya, engaging each student and making it so much fun.

Students on their own have decorated the classrooms with posters and drawings which they prepared with energy saving tips and took active part in classwork during the presentations.
Students happily engaged and learned different new tips on how to save energy and alternative renewable energy sources.

As part of SISSAF’s ‘’Save Energy Lebanon’’ initiative, students were invited to participate in a drawing contest organized in collaboration with Fabriano.
Gifts from the European Union and the DVD movie “Energy, Let’s Save It” (produced by the SISSAF experts with tips on Energy Saving), notepads and books were distributed to the students at the end of each of the seminars.

Amongst the visited schools, some were enrolled in the Green School Program which is also supported by SISSAF. Those schools are doing great efforts and working hard to get a better and better rating in the Green Schools program next year.

The feedback from the schools SISSAF are visiting is all positive and the students eager to visit the entertaining and informative seminars on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy.
